Are we getting enough Iodine?

With all the stuff I have seen on Seamoss gel and Iodine supplementation, it had me curious to think if we are getting enough Iodine. I have read that people who live in hot climates, that sweat a lot could be at significant risk of low Iodine levels. Low iodine levels can lead to exhaustion, hair loss and even cause difficulty concentrating, not to mention can lead to poor thyroid health!
